We collect the details we need to price and deliver your topsoil, and use them for that.
What we collect
When you ask for a quote: your name, company (if given), phone number, email address, delivery address and postcode, topsoil grades and tonnes, access details, timing and any notes. When you send a message: your name, email address, and anything you include.
How we use it
We use them to put together your quote, to plan and make the delivery, to get in touch about your request and to keep business records we’re legally obliged to hold. The legal grounds are: steps you’ve asked for before a contract, performing that contract, and complying with the law.
Who handles it for us
Requests sit in the software we use to run enquiries and orders. The haulier on your delivery gets the site details they need. Analytics tools, if you’ve said yes to them, see page visits but never the contents of your form. Your details are never sold.
How long we keep it
If a request doesn’t turn into an order, we hold it for 6 years. Records of orders are held for 6 years.
Your rights
Write to info@newcastletopsoil.co.uk for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to have it erased once it’s no longer needed. Complaints about data protection can also go to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
