Delivery area
Bulk topsoil delivered across North Tyneside and the coast
North Tyneside runs from the coast at Tynemouth, Cullercoats and Whitley Bay, through North Shields and Wallsend, to Killingworth and the newer estates inland. Each part has its own delivery picture.
- Five tonnes minimum
- Loose or bulk bags
Coast, terraces and newer estates
On the coast, around Whitley Bay, Tynemouth and North Shields, lots of homes have small front gardens and rear yards onto back lanes, so bulk bags are usually easier than a loose tip. Seafront roads can be busy with parking, so mention any restrictions.
Further inland, larger plots around Killingworth, Backworth and Shiremoor tend to have drives a tipper can use. On newer estates, check whether the roads are adopted yet and whether the developer has rules for deliveries before you book.
